This paper concerns itself with Tobacco Control Policies and explores the relationship between gasoline prices and cigarette demand. The hypothesis was that higher gasoline excise taxes would reduce the demand for cigarettes, ceteris paribus. The results indicate that gasoline price does not have a statistically significant effect on cigarette consumption.
